***This place is a smoking allowed joint - if that's an issue, no need to read further. Stopped in trying to kill some time. Nice vibe with jazz (like actual Louis Armstrong jazz) playing. Run by one dude who does everything. Totally reeks of the Showa vibe in the best way possible. The coffee is in the 500 yen range but the dude makes each cup with the siphon/vacuum suction coffee maker. So yeah, I guess you're paying double the Doutour price for that. Worth it. I also got the cinnamon toast. A fatty toast cut in three where it's buttered and you put your own cinnamon sugar. Comes with an adorable cup of whipped cream. 250 yen. Every time I get stuff like this, I get increasingly angrier at Starbucks. This isn't exactly a place where tourists end up, but if you are in the area, and you smoke (I don't but I love the old school vibe anyway) check this place out. Also this place might be old school enough that the dude won't do much to help you if you don't speak Japanese. I interacted in Japanese so maybe if you do try to order in English, you can post your experience.

Egg toast was great, iced coffee was great. Cigarette smells but since smoking is allowed I should get over with it. Owner was nice, though we couldn’t communicate much with language barrier
